6:30pm Service | 8:30pm Fireworks
It's a night of faith and family fun to kick off Independence Day weekend! Join us for a special Thursday evening family service filled with great music, prayer for our nation, and a look at what the Bible says about our citizenship. After the service, head out to the lawns, grab a snack at a food truck, and find a spot to watch an awesome fireworks display at 8:30pm.
The event is free, but tickets are required. This is the perfect opportunity to invite a friend or neighbor to check out a Thursday night service. (Safety note: The fireworks portion of the event has been planned and approved in partnership with the City of Scottsdale in coordination with the Scottsdale Fire Department who will also be on-site to ensure the safety of the surrounding desert)
Childcare for ages 0 - 4 as well as care for individuals of all ages with special needs will be available during the service portion of the event.
Note: Due to the holiday weekend, we will only have one service on Sunday, July 4th at 10:00am. The service content will be the same as this Thursday evening service.
Serve our community!
We'll be collecting cases of bottled water for our partners at Phoenix Rescue Mission who distribute water and share the hope of Christ on the streets of the Valley. Bring a case of bottled water to the event, and we'll have a drop-off area at the entrance to the Highlands parking lot.
Parking
Parking for the event is free, though parts of our parking lot will be restricted due to the fireworks staging area. Please also consider using the parking lot west of Highlands, behind the shopping center on the other side of Florence Ely Nelson Park.
food
We'll have food trucks available with a variety of food options including tacos, pizza, kettle corn, and ice cream. Enjoy with family and friends on our lawn before the fireworks display.
Highlands Church is located at 9050 E Pinnacle Peak Rd in Scottsdale - just 1/4 mile east of Pima on Pinnacle Peak Rd (map).
