Highlands Kids is all about telling children about Jesus, helping them learn about the Bible and grow spiritually, and cultivating within them an attitude of joy and service.
August 9th Update:
Highlands will begin offering Highlands Kids programming for kids ages birth through 6th grade during our services on Thursday at 6:45pm and Sunday at 10:45am.
For now, we will not be offering Highlands Kids programming at our 9:00am services - this will allow us to have time to sanitize all of our kids spaces with our enhanced cleaning protocols.
In order to prepare our Highlands Kids team and classroom space appropriately, we'll be asking parents to pre-register their kids for each service. Use the button below to pre-register your kids.
What to Expect
Here are some things to expect while your kids are attending a Highlands Kids service:
- We will be checking kid's temperatures with no-touch thermometers when they arrive. Any child with a temperature above 100.4°F will not be allowed to stay in the classroom.
- Classroom surfaces and toys will be disinfected after each service by Highlands cleaning staff, using safe but highly-effective cleaning supplies.
- Classrooms will be limited to 10 kids per service.
- Kids ages 5 and older will be asked to wear masks while in classrooms.
- All staff and volunteers will be wearing masks during attendance.
- Please do not bring snacks or personal sippy cups or water bottles for your kids during kids service.
- Additional hand sanitizer stations have been added throughout the Children's building.
We also know there are many families who won't be ready to return to in-person gatherings yet. That's absolutely okay - we support all of our families in choosing the gathering method that's right for them. We will continue to offer our Highlands Kids resources online so you can grow in faith together watching our services online.
Highlands Kids at-Home
We are so excited to be able to bring you resources so you can have a Family Church service right in the comfort of your own home during this time. Our goal is to provide you with a quick kid-friendly Bible study message, along with some discussion questions, and a set of activities you can do with your kids that tie together with the lesson we'll be studying across Highlands Church. All of the resources are below.
