5th & 6th Grade

Preteens are at an age where they begin to develop their self-identity. It’s an exciting and demanding time as they are going through so many changes developmentally and socially. We strive to meet students where they’re at and challenge them to take the next step. The vision of the H56 ministry is to get students to know and comprehend the Gospel.

Weekend services

Thursdays at 6:45pm & Sundays at 10:45am in the  H56/Jr High Room
Join us for H56 services on Thursday nights at 6:45pm and Sunday mornings at 10:45am for crazy fun with friends, worship, and Bible-based messages that meet our students right where they're at.

Our mission is for students to understand the weight of what Jesus has done on the cross. We want students to know that not only through Jesus are they made clean, but they are also truly a new creation. We want them to understand what it looks like to live as a new creation.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Dave & Busters Night

October 7th at 6:30pm | Cost: $25
Our 5th and 6th graders will be headed to Dave & Busters for food, games & fun! This is an outreach event for our students to invite their friends. They'll enjoy unlimited games, food and a message about Jesus.

Child dedication

Info Class on October 16th at 9:00am | Dedication in Services on October 30th
Child Dedication is a public commitment parents make before God, the church and their family. The dedication provides parents an opportunity to express their desire to lead and spiritually nurture their child to know God and encourage them to establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

If you have not dedicated your children, we would love to invite you to do so! Attending a Highlands Child Dedication Class is required to participate in the in-service dedications. Please contact Kathy at to reserve your spot.

November 6th at 9:00am in the Jr High Room
We'll be having a Kids Baptism class to teach elementary-aged kids the fundamentals of baptism. We'll talk about what baptism is, what the Bible has to say about it, and how kids and parents can know they're ready to be baptized. Parents and kids are encouraged to attend together.
