The Vision: Help Families Grow
Everyone wants a great family life, but the pressures and influences of...
The examples we follow can either lead us toward Christ or lead us toward chaos. As we strive toward the goal of becoming more like Jesus, it's important to have strong examples and role models in our lives to challenge us and grow our faith. Who's example are you following?
As followers of Jesus Christ, our goal is to become more like him - maturing in our faith and serving him in all we do. This maturity comes from leaving the past behind and pressing on toward the goal, knowing that it's only through Christ's strength - not our own - that we'll achieve all that God has in store for us.
We can easily get our priorities out of order when our work, family, accomplishments or goals start to crowd out our desire to follow Jesus Christ. The things our world counts as gain can actually become stumbling blocks to our higher purpose of loving God and loving people. So how do we keep our priorities in order?
Jesus established the church to bring the hope of the Gospel to the whole world. With each new generation, the church needs new leaders to carry that message and do the work of the ministry. Are you ready to make yourself available and take on that mission?
How do you deal with suffering? In the midst of a broken world, suffering is inevitable. How can we keep our focus on Jesus Christ in a way that will provide us hope, peace, and even joy in the midst of the most difficult moments of life?
How do we build our spiritual muscles? Instead of making our faith something we 'recharge' by just going to church on Sunday, what if we made it a part of every aspect of our life?
Jesus gives us the ultimate model of how to use the power we have to serve others instead of serving ourselves. If we recognize Jesus as Lord, our goal shouldn't be to gain more power for ourselves, but instead to adopt His attitude of humility, and glorify God in everything we do.
Celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the new life He offers us! The empty tomb means much more than a simple historical event. The empty tomb of Jesus means we can find forgiveness from our past, purpose for our future, and a new home in the Kingdom of God.
Join our pastors and ministry leaders on a walk through the night Jesus was betrayed, tried and crucified for our sins. At each step of the story, you'll have opportunities to interact and make the story personal as we reflect together on Christ's incredible sacrifice and God's amazing grace.
Jesus rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday as a symbol of peace: peace that He would bring between God and man through His death and resurrection. We celebrate Jesus today for what He's done, and also knowing that He will come again to make all things new. Do you worship Jesus for who He is?
