Following Jesus can be hard in the midst of a culture that doesn’t. The Apostle Peter wrote his letter to Christians who were scattered around the world to encourage them to stand firm in the true grace they had received from Jesus. In this life we’ll experience challenges, setbacks, conflict and even suffering. But Peter reminds us all that in the midst of those things, we can endure - and even thrive - if we keep our eyes fixed on the eternal hope we have because of Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf and His resurrection from the dead.
