Follow Jesus

for grace you have been saved through faith

When you commit to follow Jesus Christ, you become part of God’s family. You have a new relationship with God. All of Heaven celebrates– and we do too! As a Christian, your relationship with God is eternally secure, He is your Heavenly Father, and He will never leave you. Not only will Jesus give you joy in this life, but you will also get to spend eternity in Heaven. The Bible gives us this assurance.

A wonderful first step in following Jesus is baptism. Jesus was baptized, and He commands His followers to be baptized, too. Baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus. To learn more about baptism or register for an upcoming baptism service, visit our Baptism page.

GROW IN YOUR FAITH
Attend Church

We want to help you to grow in your faith, and we encourage you to regularly attend and participate in a local church. You will learn to apply biblical truth and grow deeper in your faith while connecting with other Christ-followers. You will learn the importance of spending time reading the Bible, and of praying, which is simply having a conversation with God. At Highlands we worship God by singing and praying together, studying the Bible, and learning how to apply it to our lives. Our vision is to equip the church to follow Jesus in every aspect of life. We have church services on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:45 am.

We also encourage you to attend Discover Highlands - a gathering held once a month on Sunday at 10:30am where you'll tour the campus, learn about our history, beliefs and ministries, meet some of the pastors, elders, staff, and their families, and learn how you can get connected. For more information or to sign up, visit the Discover Highlands page.

Sign up for a Class or Bible Study

You will also grow in your faith by learning God's Word, the Bible. Highlands has a "Get in the Word" daily Bible reading plan that sends you - via text or email - a chapter of the Bible each weekday. You can also interact with other readers in the comments. Sign up to receive Bible readings here.

Highlands also offers classes and studies designed to help you learn what the Bible says about various topics or aspects of faith. We offer short-term and long-term classes and studies for men and women of all ages on a variety of topics or books of the Bible. Visit our Classes page to see a list of all of our classes.

CONNECT IN COMMUNITY
Join a Small Group

God designed people for relationship, and a small group is a natural way to connect in community with others. Whatever age or stage of life you're in, and whatever group you might be looking for, you have a place here, and we have a group for you. Our activity groups build community through activities, serving and enjoying new experiences together. Weekly small groups meet in homes or on campus throughout the week for mutual encouragement as we grow in our faith and journey through life together. Personal discipleship groups are gender-specific and connect newer believers with more mature Christians for the purpose of learning how to grow in Christ. To learn more, visit our Groups page.

LIVE ON MISSION
Serving

Jesus had a mission, and we are called to live on mission. First, we know that he came not to be served, but to serve and to give his life for many. We follow Jesus when we commit to serving others and meeting their needs in the love of Jesus Christ. As a church, we provide multiple opportunities to live out the gospel by loving and serving people within our very own church community. Visit our Serve at Highlands page.

Sending

Jesus' mission was to reach people who did not know God with the good news of salvation, and he gives us the same mission. As believers, we are called to impact our community and spheres of influence for Christ. Visit our Community page to learn more about opportunities throughout the year to share the love of Christ with people and organizations in our surrounding community.

Highlands also offers mission trips. International missions grow out faith by putting us in unfamiliar situations and places, increasing our trust in the Lord and our burden for people. Visit our Missions page for more information.

Finally, Jesus Christ wants us to tell our personal story of how we came to faith. Share with your friends and family about your decision to follow Christ. We'd love to hear your story too! Email us anytime at .
