An Evening with Joni Eareckson Tada

An Evening with Joni Eareckson Tada

Wednesday, September 19, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

September 19th | 6:30-8:00pm

Join us for a special evening with Joni Eareckson Tada, presented by Joni and Friends of Arizona and the Special Needs Ministry of Highlands Church.

A diving accident in 1967 left Joni Eareckson, then 17, a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, without the use of her hands. After two years of rehabilitation, she emerged with new skills and a fresh determination to help others in similar situations.

In 1979, she founded Joni and Friends to advance disability ministry and change the church and communities around the world. Joni and Friends is answering the call in the Gospel of Luke 14, "invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind and you will be blessed...make them come in so my house will be full."

This special evening will include worship music and prayer as Joni inspires us to adopt a biblical worldview on disability, rooted in the unfailing and demonstrative love of Jesus Christ.

This event is free and open to the public - no tickets are required.

A sign language interpreter will be provided for those with hearing-impairments.

For questions about accommodations for individuals with special needs, please contact Missy Farrington, director of Highlands Special Needs ministry at .
