5th & 6th Grade
Preteens are at the age where they begin to develop their self-identity. It’s both exciting and demanding as they navigate many developmental and social changes. We strive to first meet students where they’re at, then challenge them to take their next step toward Jesus, whatever that may look like. One of the primary goals of the 5th & 6th Grade Ministry is to help students develop and grow in their personal relationship with Christ.
Sunday Services
Sundays at 10:45am in Student Building Room A
Join us for Highlands 5th & 6th grade services for fun with friends, and Bible-based messages that are designed to engage 5th and 6th graders right where they're at.
Beginning November 1st, our new Sunday service times will be 8:00, 9:30 & 11:00am! Students in Highlands 5th & 6th grade will meet in the Student Building during the 11:00am service. Learn more...
Wednesday Nights
Wednesdays | 6:30-8:00pm
Join us on Wednesday nights! This is a great opportunity for students to invite their friends to hear the Gospel message, and to be a part of a fun community of peers. We meet in the RockHouse in the Highlands Kids Building.
Guys' Night
Saturday, October 17th | 6:00-8:00pm
Student Building Room B
It’s Guys’ Night! 5th and 6th grade guys are invited to hang out with friends and leaders for a night of pizza, games, activities, and more. Come join the fun and bring a friend! No registration required.
Local Outreach Event

Meet at Sleeping in Heavenly Peace
Join Highlands 5th & 6th Grade at Sleeping in Heavenly Peace to serve local families by building beds for children in need. Come ready to serve, have fun, and make a difference in a child’s life! Parents are encouraged to serve alongside their kids as we live on mission together.
Check in is between 7:00 and 7:30am, and we’ll work until about 11:00am. Please wear comfortable work clothes and closed-toe shoes (no Crocs), as this is an active construction area. If younger children attend, a kid-friendly area can be set up outside, but an adult must remain with them.
Friendsgiving
Wednesday, November 18th | 6:30-8:00pm | Rockhouse
Join Highlands 5th & 6th Grade for Friendsgiving! Bring your friends for an evening of worship, games, and gratitude as we celebrate the Thanksgiving season together. We’ll even have a cereal bar to enjoy! No registration required.
