5th & 6th Grade
Preteens are at the age where they begin to develop their self-identity. It’s both exciting and demanding as they navigate many developmental and social changes. We strive to first meet students where they’re at, then challenge them to take their next step toward Jesus, whatever that may look like. One of the primary goals of the H56 Ministry is to empower 5th-6th Grade students to develop their personal relationship with Christ.
Sunday Services
Sundays at 10:45am in Student Building Room A
Join us for Highlands 5th & 6th grade services for fun with friends, and Bible-based messages that are designed to engage 5th and 6th graders right where they're at.
Wednesday Nights
Kicks off August 19th | 6:30-8:00pm
Join us on Wednesday nights! This is a great opportunity for students to invite their friends to hear the Gospel message, and to be a part of a fun community of peers. We meet in the worship center classroom, located on the exterior, southwest corner of the Worship Center building.
Discipleship Camp
August 21st-23rd | Prescott, Arizona | $350
Join us for Discipleship Camp, for a fun-filled weekend at United Christian Youth Camp where students will grow in their relationship with Jesus through biblical teaching, worship, community, and fun outdoor activities. Students will build friendships, deepen their faith, and learn what it means to follow Christ together.
Our focus this year is learning what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus and how to disciple others. Students will be challenged, encouraged, and equipped to take what they learn home and live out their faith in their schools, families, and communities. Check-in begins Friday at 4:00pm, and we will return Sunday at 2:00pm. Don't miss this life-changing weekend of growth, friendship, and purpose.
Serve at Discipleship Camp
Join us for an impactful weekend at UCYC as we serve and invest in the next generation during our Discipleship Camp! Volunteers will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students, support small-group discussions, participate in worship sessions, and help create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. You'll play a vital role in encouraging students, modeling Christ-centered living, and helping them take their next steps in faith. Thank you for partnering with us to make this life-changing weekend possible.
Bowling Night
Saturday, July 25 | 6:00–8:00pm | $25
Lucky Strike North Scottsdale (7000 E. Mayo Blvd.)
Join us for a fun night of bowling, and hanging out together! There is no registration required, just show up and we'll have lanes reserved for our 5th & 6th grade group. Students will simply pay at the door and don't forget to bring socks. This is a great opportunity for students to spend time together, get to know leaders, and invite a friend to join the fun!
Nerf Wars
Saturday, September 20th | 6:00-8:00pm | Cost: $20
Student Building Room B
Join us for an epic Nerf War for 5th and 6th graders! Dinner, nerf guns, darts, and safety glasses will be provided. Students may bring their own labeled Nerf gun that shoots classic or mega darts (please do not bring darts). Bring a friend and get ready for the ultimate battle!
