Follow Jesus

for grace you have been saved through faith

When you commit to follow Jesus Christ, you become part of God’s family. You have a new relationship with God and a new future. All of Heaven celebrates– and we do too! As a Christian, your relationship with God is eternally secure, He is your Heavenly Father, and He will never leave you. Not only will Jesus give you joy in this life, but you will also get to spend eternity in Heaven. The Bible gives us this assurance.

Following Jesus Christ is a lifelong journey of getting to know God and growing deeper in your faith. Here are some ways you can take a next step at Highlands Church.

What’s next?

Attend Church

As a follower of Jesus Christ, it's important to regularly attend a local church in person. You'll learn to apply biblical truth in your life and grow deeper in your faith while connecting with other Christ-followers in worshiping God. At Highlands we worship God by singing and praying together, studying the Bible, and learning how to apply it to our lives. Our vision is to equip the church to follow Jesus in every aspect of life. We have church services on Thursday evenings at 6:45pm and on Sunday mornings at 9:00 & 10:45am. Learn more...

Discover Highlands
We also encourage you to attend Discover Highlands - a gathering held once a month on Sunday at 10:30am where you'll tour the campus, learn about our history, beliefs and ministries, meet some of the pastors, elders, staff, and their families, and learn how you can get connected. For more information or to sign up, visit the Discover Highlands page.

Grow In Faith

Highlands is a church committed to helping you grow in your personal faith in Jesus Christ.

BAPTISM
Jesus was baptized, and He commands His followers to be baptized too. Baptism is an outward public declaration of an inward private decision. When one is baptized "in the name of Christ," you are declaring your identification to Him. Visit our Baptism Page to learn more or to register for an upcoming baptism date.

READ THE BIBLE
As followers of Jesus Christ, we ought to live as He lived and do what He told us to do. To fully understand what that looks like, we need to read the Bible which is God's Word for us. Highlands has a "Get in the Word" daily Bible reading plan that sends you - via text or email - a chapter of the Bible each weekday. You can also interact with other readers in the comments. Sign up to receive Bible readings here.

FIRST STEPS
First Steps is a 4-week class where new believers understand their new life in Christ. Each class will have plenty of time to ask any question you'd like about Christianity, God, faith, the Bible and more. This is a wonderful first step in your personal faith journey. You can register here.

FOUNDATIONS
Foundations is a 6-week small group experience that gives us a greater understanding of who God is, who Jesus is, who the Holy Spirit is, what it means to be a follower of Jesus. This is a perfect first step for anyone interested in joining a group at Highlands, and a great foundation for the process of discipleship. You'll grow in your personal faith, engage in community with others, and learn to live on mission for Christ. You can register here.

CLASSES & BIBLE STUDIES
Highlands classes and Bible studies are designed to help you learn what the Bible says about various topics or aspects of faith. We offer short-term and long-term classes and studies for men and women of all ages on a variety of topics or books of the Bible. Visit our Classes page to see a list of all of our classes.

PERSONAL DISCIPLESHIP
There's no better way to understand the Christian life than to meet with another Christian who has followed Jesus for a long time. Personal discipleship occurs within gender-specific pairings or groups and equips people to grow in their faith, to engage in Christ-centered community, and to multiply their lives by reaching and teaching others to do the same. All Christians are disciples and are called to make new disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). To get started in this process, email Kat with our Equipping Team at .

Connect in Community

God designed people for community, and a group is a natural way to make meaningful connections with others at Highlands.

SMALL GROUPS
Whatever age or stage of life you're in, and whatever group you might be looking for, you have a place here, and we have a group for you. Small groups are a place where you'll build your personal faith, build community with others in the church family, and learn how to encourage others to do the same. To take your first step in joining a group, you can register here.

Live on Mission

Jesus commands us to make disciples by modeling and sharing Jesus with those within our church, in the surrounding community, and beyond our borders.

SERVE LOCALLY & GLOBALLY
Jesus Christ sent His followers to share His message. All Christians can make an impact for the Lord in their community and various spheres of influence. As a church, we provide multiple opportunities to live out the gospel by loving people within the church, in our surrounding community, and even around the world. Visit our Serve at Highlands, Serve Our Community, and Mission Trips pages for information.

SHARE YOUR STORY
Jesus Christ wants us to be His witnesses, and that means telling our personal story of how we came to faith. Tell your friends and family about your decision to follow Christ. Share the story about the difference He's making in your life. By doing so you are demonstrating your new life in Christ by showing your love and concern for others. We'd love to hear your story too! Email us anytime at .
